Tajikistan Crushes Pakistan in Qualifier Showdown at Pamir Stadium

In a decisive second-round qualifier, Tajikistan overpowered Pakistan with a commanding 3–0 victory at the Pamir Stadium, also known as the Tajikistan Central Stadium. This triumph builds on Tajikistan’s previous success against Pakistan in Islamabad on November 21, 2023, where they secured a resounding 6–1 win.

This latest win marks the third encounter between the two teams, with Tajikistan maintaining an unblemished record against Pakistan. The qualifier match was the sole game played in this round, solidifying Tajikistan’s supremacy.

Pakistan’s campaign in the qualifiers has been dismal, concluding at the bottom of Group G with zero points from six games. Their most recent defeat was a 3–0 loss to Saudi Arabia at the Jinnah Stadium in Islamabad. Pakistan faced defeats against all three group rivals: Saudi Arabia, Jordan, and Tajikistan.

The Group G standings see Saudi Arabia at the top with 13 points, followed by Jordan with 10 points. Tajikistan holds third place with five points, while Pakistan remains winless at the bottom.
